How far in advance should I reserve?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during the high season from December through April. Private catamarans and premium vessels often sell out several weeks in advance.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance and payment schedule depend on the selected operator and tour.
Can I cancel my reservation?
Cancellation policies vary depending on the operator and the type of tour. We’ll always explain the applicable cancellation terms before your booking is confirmed.
Will I receive a confirmation?
Absolutely. Once your reservation has been confirmed with the operator, you’ll receive a booking confirmation with all the tour details, meeting instructions, and important information for your sailing experience.

Can I customize my itinerary?
Yes. Private charters allow you to customize departure times, swimming stops, snorkeling locations, and the overall pace of your day, depending on weather and navigation conditions.
Can the catamaran pick us up at our hotel beach?
Some private catamarans can offer beach pickup at selected hotels, depending on sea conditions, the vessel, and local regulations. In other cases, departures take place from nearby marinas or beaches.
How many guests can join a private charter?
Private catamarans are available in different sizes and can accommodate small families, couples, or large private groups. We’ll recommend the best vessel based on your group size.

What’s included in a shared sailing tour?
Most shared tours include snorkeling equipment, drinks, snacks or meals, professional crew, and plenty of time to swim, relax, and enjoy the beautiful coastline of Guanacaste.
Should I choose a morning or sunset tour?
Morning tours typically offer calmer seas and longer snorkeling opportunities, while sunset cruises provide spectacular afternoon scenery and unforgettable Pacific sunsets. Both are excellent experiences.
Is transportation included?

Will we see dolphins?

Can we see whales?

Before Your Tour
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing your swimsuit, beach towel, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen, waterproof camera, hat, and a light cover-up. Everything else is usually provided onboard.
What should I wear?
Comfortable beach clothing and swimwear are ideal. Many guests remain barefoot onboard, and lightweight clothing helps keep you comfortable throughout the tour.
What happens if it rains?
Light tropical showers rarely affect sailing tours and often pass quickly. If weather conditions make navigation unsafe, the operator will contact you to discuss the available options.
